Information:

After a few events of not doing very well at all, I decided a complete re-think was in order, however, I didn't want to change it entirely. The 50mm wheels on 3 lipos with Sanyo 134.5:1's was working very well so I kept them the same. However, I changed the shape from the long flat Void to a wider, shorter one. This allowed me to try something that I hadn;t before, having a 140mm wide flipper, which I must say I was very pleased with. It allowed me to get under an opponent and get the upper hand in a battle much easier, so I'll probably be sticking with it. I also swapped out the S136l for a Park HPX F, which is perfectly adequate for my needs. The spare weight will go on improving chassis strength and armour, as Void 5.0 was riddled with holes and was very weak in some places. I learnt a lot from this version, however, due to having the same size wheels but a shorter robot, the slope of the flipper was now too sleep, and it hindered my ability to get people onto it. The new shape also caused me to wheely sometimes when accelerating quickly, as most of the weight was in the back of the robot. On an up note, it was voted Best Looking Robot at AWS20!
