I'm back! After a fairly long hiatus from antweights, I'm glad to say I'm back in the game. I've just uploaded details of the latest version of Void, 7.0, and updated the events and pictures pages. Void came 2nd at AWS30, which is the best I've ever done in a world series, so I'm ecstatic, especially as it wasn't running at full potential. I'll be working to get it running fully before the next event, and I'm also currently working on a new version of Zenith, which is looking very impressive at the moment. Hope to see you all at events soon!

Zenith 4.0 page added, AWS26 details added to events page. Zenith was voted best designed and most destructive!
I'm going to be getting my workshop set up at my new house within the next few weeks, so I can start competing properly again after that - I can't wait!

Website is all up to date as of today, including lots of pictures and information on all the robot pages. I plan to build Zenith 4.0 soon, and also EP 3.0 (which is going to be awesome :P). Void 7.0 is probably coming in quarter 1 of next year, but it should be worth the wait!

After a long time of waiting (me being lazy) the new website is finally here. As you may have noticed, the team name is now Epic Robotics, and I didn't bother doing the videos section in the end. If you find any broken links contact me to let me know, or if you think there is a link that should be on the links page that isn't there. Happy building!

Just a quickie to mention that I've added a link to Antweight.com and its Forum to the menu, and also to say that I've finally found a suitable cheap workbench, so I'm going to get that in a few days, bolt my new nice big tools onto it, then I can start the major construtruction work for Void 3.0 and also the new blades for Zenith's disk.

Well, I thought it was about time for an update, so here we go. I'm just about to send off for what I need to get building void 3.0, I've already done lots of prototyping with polycarbonate and 3d modelling so I think it's going to be good. I plan to have both it and Zenith 1.1 built for the 3rd Reading Robotics Club (check Events  page for more details), where I will be defending my title that Void 2.1 won at the last one. I've also updated the Events  page with details of my next 3 upcoming competitons. Also, while I've been playing around with things for Void 3.0, I've started work on a pneumatic flipper, details of which will be posted soon. It's frontally hinged, and can throw a 175g solder reel about 20cm, so it should be very impressive. For those of you who havn't already, pay Antweight.com a visit and join the forum, I'm helping in it's development, and when it's up it's going to have a database, lots of helpful tips and guides, a shop, and also review of lots of commonly used components. It will most definatly be a great source of help to many ant builders.

Just updated the events section with details from AWS13, and the FWSmash, also updated the antweights section with info about Void 2.1/3.0 & Zenith 1.0/1.1, and also writeups about what's been going on with them.
Also, Look out for the new site, Antweight.com, ran by Chris Cummins, which will have an antweight database, small shop, and all manner of helpful information.

Hi all, well as you can see the websites all finished now, and on a better server (yay). I've fixed all the broken pictures and video links, but if they still dont work you might need to do a force refresh (ctrl + f5). I've also added a little bit of text on the robot pages, giving you design, building, event details etc.

I've been working solidly on Void (2.1) for the last few days, and it's almost complete, all I need to do is to make the flipper, which I'll do when the polycarbonate I've ordered arrives. Apart from that it's looking great, and I didn't realise running it on an extra volt (6v instead of 5) would make too much of a difference, but I can definatly tell that it has. I've also ordered the batteries for Zenith, so when they arrive I'll start building it, leaving myself only about a week and a half to build a fully working spinner before an AWS.....I do get myself into these things, but I normally leave it till the last moment, so I'm sure (as long as I don't have too many problems) I'll be able to manage it.

Websites pretty much done now, I'll add pictures and more links if I discover any. If you have any comments or suggestions please go to the contact page and get in touch with me

On another note, I won the Combat and Speedway events at Reading Robotics Club #2 (3rd January 2004). Twas my first win, so it felt very good.
